spring sprang

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011

Today’s comic art is based simply on the word spring.  I’m forced to update on the fly this week, so I thought it would be fun to just take a word and illustrate it for you.  Feel free to haiku accordingly using the same word, the art or another word as your inspiration.

It has gone from cold winter to rather hot days here in Florida.  Today we got something closer to spring but it was still pretty hot.  It’s always a bummer when we skip the best months – autumn and spring, but that’s pretty much the way it goes here.  I won’t complain though because I know a lot of you are still up to your eyeballs in snow.  Been there.  Don’t miss it.

So, I got the Love Endures Series additions photographed and up on my art blog last week. The new photos of Nos. 4 – 6 are here.  But here’s a group shot if you are too lazy to click:

I have also put a couple of the dolls from the series up on in my Etsy store.  If you don’t see the one you want, you can always contact me.  Nos. 1 and 2 have been sold.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

I’m madly in love with Mike Stilkey’s work…particularly the book sculptures.  Here’s a taste:

I’m seriously flipping out looking at his site right now.  Wow.  Check out the Book Sculptures here.

See you next week…

I keep having allergy probs so now Im taking like 3 allergy meds i hate it. I think doctors and pharmisics are trying to kill us all.
