guest comic by joenis norac
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009*dabs sweat from brow* Uploading a guest comic is a lot of work! ![]()
This week’s comic is by artist Joenis Norac of Unconscious Ink. You should check out his comic, it’s filled with crazy little monsters and such that Joenis refers to as inklings. I think the fact he uses the word ‘inklings’ reason enough to take a peek.
I’m so glad I hung on to his comic for a night/week like this. It’s feast or famine in Calanville and just when famine was getting old, a ton of graphic design work came in, plus I’m working on GingerDead projects and a press kit for Jim and trying to rush through a comic didn’t appeal to me. So a big thanks to Joenis for submitting this.
So earlier this week I was in a fashion show as Audrey Hepburn at ArtPool. I thought I just had to hang around the gallery during the film festival party. You know, like a decoration? I imagined the festival peppered with people dressed as film stars and thought, sure why not?! I like to play dress up, afterall.
Well, it ended up there were about 15 or so girls and we had to do this photo shoot and than a runway walk with posing and everything. I about fainted on the spot. I’m in your face in some ways, but this wasn’t really my cup of tea. I’m not really big on being in front of cameras. I like doing self portraits but that’s about it. Anyway, it was a great event, but nerve wracking for yours truly. I had no clue what I was doing and it felt weird. I give models credit. It’s a lot like acting I suppose…without the lines. Although, I think it would have been easier if I had lines. *shrugs*
Don’t forget Amanda Palmer is going to be at State Theater, St. Pete on Mar 26th. Don’t live in St. Pete or FL?
Check here for Amanda Palmer US Tour Dates.
See you next week with a special comic.

[...] Before i forget (again): To return the favor to my friend Calan for drawing a little inkling here by the name of Key Thief, i drew up a little guest for her. Last week she had one of those killer busy weeks and finally posted it! So, if you’d like to check it you can see it at [My Gingerdead.com Guest], and don’t forget to check out her other stuff. Shes got an awesome gothic style! [...]
