hungry haiku
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008I finally gave in and got a myspace site going. I have loathed and avoided myspace like the plague and am still not a huge fan, but it does have some purpose I suppose. I always half jokingly said if you are a pedophile or musician, myspace makes sense. But let’s face it I create a comic that is accessible online and I want people to find it. It makes just as much sense for me to utilize that platform to a degree. What a time vampire it can be though if you let it!
Yes, it can be interesting and fun to find cool artists and bands and weird people but before you know it hours have passed by that I could have spent making art or hanging out with weirdos in real life. Anyway, I’m there now so if you do the myspace thing, lets be BFFs and stuff. Clickity Clack.
In addition to myspace, I recently joined eBay which I’ve also avoided until now. I couldn’t help it. It was that Spinestealer auction that did it. It was worth joining. I won this cute Spinestealer original art card:
Once on eBay, I had to poke around and of course found 8 million cool things I wanted to bid on. In the end, I decided on this fabulous circus monkey organ grinder candelabra! It was an early birthday present for Jim for use on or around stage at his circus of a cd release party – ( November 6th at Downtown St. Pete’s the Garage. ) It’s lack of eyeballs creeps him out. 
If you are local, don’t forget October 30th I’ll be at the Garage with prints and paintings and greeting cards and stuff during the Johnny Vitale Monster’s of Art show. Monster costumes are encouraged.

Yay for making time just to read your comic. I will be happy when I get my weekends back so I can catch up on my sleep. Too bad I have to work on the 30th. I’ll add you on myspace as soon as I remember how. I don’t go on very often.

dmc i <3 sam raimi! i stole his famous soul swallowin’ line when i played a possessed girl in a haunted house universal did in this mall in ny.
tara – nice job on the haiku’n! i just hacked all my hair off and im not so sure i should have. it was already really short. at least i can brush it with my fingers though. i don’t even own a brush or a comb.
