Seriously, I’ve been eating too much crap lately. Things have been hectic and somehow I interpret that into a reason to shove sweets in my face. Bad Calan. As a result, you guys get bloated characters this week. Sowwy. 
So, one of the things I’m gearing up for is Convergence 14. It’s the annual gothic convention and I’ll be damned if it isn’t coming here to Tampa. It would have been nice to know this a month or two ago, but I just saw the first ad in the local alt newspaper a few days ago and sorta freaked out. I really wanted a table there and wasn’t sure if it was too late. I just got an email saying I can still get in so yay!

I would *never* throw anything at you, except perchance a glance or a bundle of goodwill, or even a skittle. So if you hear a soft clattering across your table and onto the floor, fear not. It’s probably an M&M.

Wow, two haikus in one go, nice. I love Vens face in this one hehe.
I very much wish i could attend the Convergence 14. Its just too far away and i can’t get the time off right now. It sucks but life tends to do things like that. It looks so cool too. I like most of the bands that are gonna be there and the venders seem interesting. I would finally get to meet you as well. So jelous

…at least not with *this* kind of P.R.
But now I’m wondering how a skeleton puts on weight. I’d say “I’m dying to know” but you might take me literally.
Sera — your mention of Skittles and M&Ms remind me of a party I went to many years ago thrown by a friend of mine. He’d put out a big bowl of mixed Skittles and M&Ms for the guests. We all wondered what he was thinking; they don’t really go together at all and it tasted kind of weird, but to each his own, I thought. Until another friend remembered how much the host loved puns, realized what was going on and let out a loud groan.
You see, each Skittle has a little ’s’ printed on it, just as each M&M has an ‘m’. So it was a big bowl of S&Ms.

Yeah, calan, I know how you feel. Whenever my Mom went on a diet, I had to go on it too. I’d usually bum my friends for sugar during those long months, but if she found out…I faced hell.

But, i agree those two flavors seem awful together. I’d pick all the M’s out for sure. Candy coated chocolate wins over sugar coated sugar any day.

oh this would be the bestest birthday present ever well late present anyway my 24th is next tuesday but unfortunately i have to work the days of the convention
and i dont think my aunt would appreciate me taking a 11 month old with me down town to a hotel. although he would look frekaing adorable with his hair spiked and colord and an all black outfit *note to self: next pay check go to fabric store and look up toddler clothes*
have fun and if i know anyone going i’ll make sure they stop in and harrass you but in the fun way

aww amanda, it would be great to see you and baby goth! the vendor part is sat and sunday from 12 – 5 i think, but there are some killer night time events – bands mostly and the fashion show (which i don’t plan on missing). maybe you’ll squeeze in something. i’m guessing you dont have to have a badge to attend each event as some of them are over at the cigar factory where my guess is a cover charge gets you in. lemme know if you manage to attend anything and if i’m going to be there too, we’ll meet up – calanATgingerDeadDOTcom.
