I am thankful this Thanksgiving to feel good 'cause last year I was in the hospital on T day with an abdominal abscess (nasty but somewhat interesting in retrospect) hooked up to IV antibiotics, not allowed to eat or drink (except ice chips,) zonked out on dilaudid, watching the Macy's T-day parade (surreal!) with the nice old lady who was my roommate, so high that I didn't much care...David Crisler came to check on me in the afternoon and I got to eat a grape popsicle that evening... this year will be much better-wonderful, I predict...going for a bike ride in the morning and then a vegan feast with dear friends!

wishing near and far
safe and happy thanksgiving
with the ones you love

food safety's first rule
do not wear the turkey as
kitten's favorite hat

most people agree
cat spit on the main course is
subtly spicy

mmm...pie.

And don't forget about the day after Thanksgiving--that's when we break out our holiday Gingerdead attire!

But for now I have a new odd thing to think about. It's not about the fear epidemic or the tiny ecosystem inhabiting the fridge crisper--I'm wondering why cats close their eyes when they lick stuff.

Happy feasting.

Ah Thanksgiving. A time to reflect on the year; think of what your thankfull for; and gorge upon turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and of course pie. A happy Thanksgiving to all.
