smile like you mean it (haiku)
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007You almost didn’t get any comicky goodness this week, but I just couldn’t go through with missing an update. It’s been a hellacious week complete with personal drahma, financial stress, computer nightmares and epic palmetto battles. Anyway, it’s all good now. Here’s your damn comic. It’s not humorous but smile like you mean it anyway.
Have a great week! HOoOoooo!

Aww, I don’t have Flash
so I can’t see your ‘Tube.
I don’t have blinking,
stinking moving ads either.
September 26th, 2007 at 11:37 am
thanks aimee. i see the lil guy
it’s wordpress that wont let you start out with spaces on a line that made him look a lil wonky. i still think it’s neat.
Seraphine - i hear you about the ads that blink. a lot of those are .gifs though. the video is just the Killers, “Smile like you mean it”. Great song. Flash is one of my favorite digital mediums. There are so many amazing short toons in this format. Artist’s like Matt Sandbrook of Chip Shop Adventures, Katy Towell who does wonderful dark stories like Emmaline and of course, David Firth’s Salad Fingers and more. When I revamp the site I’ll be adding a section in the links area to share some of my faves. I think you would really love many of them.
/end flash advocacy.
Everyone: Thanks for the haikus
More please!

I’m sorry to hear your life has been interesting in the Chinese proverb sense. I hope things quiet down for you. I’m afraid to ask about the palmetto battles hehe. Thanks for the effort Calan. It wouldn’t be a proper Wednesday without one.
how to fake a grin?
must keep up appearances
just wasted effort
