hide and seek (haiku)
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007Haiku time again! I adore reading your reactions to the comic in haiku form, so if you feel inspired please leave a haiku in the comments section. Or you can just wave hi. It’s all good.
This week I wanted share with you the creative genius of a comicker friend. I’m crazy about Adam York Gregory’s The Flowfield Unity. If you haven’t checked it out, you really should. This week’s treat is a Flowfield Unity animation. You can check out the original comic in strip format here and then watch the animated short entitled The Corporate Machine.
That’s it for now. I’ll see you next week.

Listen to the wind
It speaks of things forgotten
Children know this truth
March 28th, 2007 at 1:20 am
dead sighs in the wind
children playing around them
communication?
March 28th, 2007 at 3:39 am
Aww shucks…
Thanks

I wake up early,
because of the stupid kids,
outside my window!

Running from grave to
Grave they have no knowledge that
They come from the dead
March 28th, 2007 at 7:30 pm
Morning graveyard chills
Hear the naive children’s thrills
Bliss: it often kills

“Tag, you’re it!” I say.
Reaching out, my hand glides through
your spirit. We laugh.
Our bodies long gone,
nothing remains for fingers
to touch. Still we play.

Duck behind the stone
Dead Children at play in graves
Lenoir and GD
(yes I know I cheated!)
Silent in Black White
Lenior is quietly hid
Ginger Dead Is Near

Duck behind stone?
There is no duck behind stone…
Who quack-quacked at Poe?
March 30th, 2007 at 2:14 am

March 30th, 2007 at 2:39 pm
hm – thought I’d already written some but apparently it was “only the wind”
i’ll write louder this time
who’s disturbing whom
those who lie beneath the ground
or the ones above
playing hide and seek
weaving among the headstones
youthful innocence
some unseen players
have been hiding here for years
do they win the game
do they also play
ring-around-the-rosie here
ashes to ashes
March 30th, 2007 at 3:36 pm
tombstones standint still
but gingerdead and lenoir
run and play near them

Just found your comic and have read them all, your work is fantastic! Why does Gingerdead’s sister hate him so?
