the truth will set you free?

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

If you are wondering how birds fly, you can read about their physical characteristics and aerodynamical stuff here. I hope you are enjoying this story arc. I’ve really enjoyed working on this one. Check back next Wednesday, I think Ennui will help wrap this topic up for us. 😉

Have a great week and thank you for reading.

    man… it’s almost worth buying a t-shirt… but $29 (w/ shipping & handling)…

I hope he doesn’t try to hollow out his bones.

  5. EvilCouch Says:

    Gravity is for
suckers that can’t soar the sky
    Nevertheless, ow!

  6. Laynne Says:

Oh Heinrich, calan isn’t the local Q-Mart with low-low prices! 😀 But supporters of the arts can be sure that GingerDead + cafepress = quality swag.

I really dig that Gatsby ignores that rule about actors minding their orientation to the audience. He seems that much more arrogant by not dignifying us with the backwards ears. It’s like we don’t even exist! 😀 Nicely done!

  7. Matt Says:

Vendetta strikes again! and what an educated pussycat!

  8. calan Says:

heinrich: not much i can do about the cost of print on demand.

dan: shhhh! don’t give him any bright ideas.

    evil: great haiku 🙂

    laynne: thank you. twice. 😉

    matt: bzzzzzzz!

  9. NobleSavage Says:

Heh, it’s like Looney Tunes when a character walks straight off a cliff and doesn’t fall until they realize they’re walking on thin air.

    Nice one 🙂

  10. I am Satan, I am Jesus Christ Says:

He should have soared far away from everyone and everything while he had the chance.

  11. justme Says:

    gingerdead can fly
    but his sister vendetta
    always pulls him down

    faith’s a fragile thing
it can hold you in the air
    while you cling to it

is the essence of a cat
    consequences? feh

  12. calan Says:

noble: i hadn’t thought of it but yeah, it is like that. yay for the old loony tunes stuff. 🙂

i am: that sounds wonderful. i’m going to rummage in the yard for feathers right now.

justme: lovely, as always. you really have a knack for these. thanks for posting. 🙂

  13. Heinrich Says:

    money and college
don’t mix very well – maybe
    i’ll have some later

  14. ezrast Says:

    Methinks that you draw
    cookies with the most awesome
    facial expressions.

  15. Laynne Says:

aww, Heinrich… this is for you:

    Christmas time is months away
    A Birthday maybe?

  16. Heinrich Says:

    my birthday is too
far away for me to wait
    i am impacient

    a paycheck will come
    sooner than a birthday will
    then a shirt might come

  17. Heinrich Says:

i suppose i should check my spelling _before_ i post – impatient*

  18. calan Says:

    thanks ezrast 🙂

laynne and heinrich, you are making me giggle.

  19. Stinkoman87 Says:

I have an idea for a comic. are you accepting fan-made ones to put on other parrts of the site?

  20. calan Says:

stinkoman: yes. drawings, mashed tater sculptures, etc. fan art is most welcome! i’m planning to add a fan-art page to the site pretty soon…within a month i’d say. 🙂

  21. medea Says:

Yo. New reader. The art caught my eye and the characters held my interest. The chemistry between GingerDead, Vendetta (I got a kick out of her name) and Lenoir has all the charm of an torched windmill reflected in a pool of dark water.

Keep going. You’ve got something here.

  22. calan Says:

    welcome medea and thanks. 🙂
