proceed with caution
Friday, January 5th, 2007ZOMG! I broke the color scheme. Don’t plague me with hate mail, it’s just a super happy fun bonus comic.
I did this artwork a while back when i was still developing the characters and figuring out how to best lay out the strips. This was just a playful little experiment with color and photoshopping that ended up making me chuckle so I thought I’d share it with you.
Have a wonderful weekend.

i am minded of a poem:
one fine day in the middle of the night
two dead boys got up to fight
back to back they faced each other
drew their swords and shot eachother
a deaf policeman heard the noise
and came and killed the two dead boys

Chris: Lenoir thinks you’re pretty cool too.
CottonFluff: haha! well, you have the first poem comment on this page so that makes you extra special.
J: wow i remember that from when i was a lil kid.
thanks for the memory jog.

J, you forgot to finish your poem.
“If you don’t believe that this lie is true, ask the blind man. He saw it, too.”
January 5th, 2007 at 4:12 pm
i told it as i learned it friend. but if you hit that there link, you may notice that the poem is rather old, and it appears there are numerous versions floating around.

Lenoir is my favoritest. If I had a Lenoir plushie doll, I’d feed her small children.

oh Evil, Lenoir adores small children! (especially if they are covered in a hard chocolate coating. )
Chantal: thanks

Yellow?
Blasphemy!
Actually this looks really cool and Lenoir rocks.
Also, I only knew the first four lines of that poem.
I now feel that little bit more intelligent.
Hooray!

Thanks Wendy.

This might actually make a nice welcome screen for the site
January 10th, 2007 at 2:04 am
it would be a nice screen saver if i had actually worked large like i do now. that’s the actual size right there.
noble, thanks. i think people will moan if they have to click through a welcome screen, but i’m glad you deem it worthy for such a prominent locale.
January 11th, 2007 at 10:01 pm
could you add this to a little it-bitty t_shirt line? I’ve got a sixth month old that would really look good in that.
January 11th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
hi daniel! yeah i can actually. I may have to redo the artwork some and the background wouldn’t work so well. but lenoir and the sign I could do. I’ll let you know when it’s up. I really need to add a children’s section to my store anyway.
good to see you btw.
January 15th, 2007 at 2:52 am

Can i put this on my door please? I gotta see what my mom says when she sees this! XD I bet she’d freak out and love it too XD If you don’t got this for sale on site yet I want you to make it for sale so i can have it
January 15th, 2007 at 3:13 am
:O
so demanding, salem! hehe. I’ll see what options i have for signs and let you know. in the meantime, right click, save as, print and apply to door via thumbtack
February 4th, 2007 at 12:53 am
Dude I need one of those signs. And I know a guy who would put it up in his yard, too.
February 4th, 2007 at 4:10 am
does he have a spooky yard?
there was a great house a few towns from where i grew up that was painted black and had one door at the very top of the house that led to nothing. if you took a step out of it you would plummet to the pavement.
i always wondered what the inside looked like and who lived there.
February 6th, 2007 at 5:53 am
he only has a spooky yard in october. he goes all out for halloween, and i enjoy helping. other than that, his yard looks pretty normal.
February 6th, 2007 at 6:54 am
halloween decorating rocks. when i was a teenager i started doing up my parents house with handmade ghosts and tombstones i cut out of styrofoam and painted. i would use tons and tons of spider webs in all our trees. i fashioned a few bodies out of old clothes and stuffing and made one witch for the porch. it grew better each year and became the house that people would go out of their way to drive by or walk their kids passed.
in my neighborhood back then christmas was all the rage. everyone tried to outdo eachother. my house was kinda crummy looking and i love halloween best, so it was the perfect choice. within three years the entire neighborhood started going nuts at halloween with decorations. they had fancy store stuff and soon had better yards than me. bastards! but, i get to credit myself for the halloween decorating craze which my friend tells me is still going strong in my old town today.
February 8th, 2007 at 10:06 pm
this guy i know decorates so much that, when he first moved into the house he’s currently in and started decorating for halloween, his neighbors asked if he was a satanist. he decorates his yard a _lot_ and has gotten over 1000 people through on halloween alone. it’s crazy and a lot of fun helping.
February 9th, 2007 at 12:16 am
wow, that sounds awesome and definitely fun to be part of. i don’t suppose there are pics online anywhere like flickr or something? if yes, hook us up with a link so we can see.
February 13th, 2007 at 3:26 am
sorry it took so long for me to get back to posting here. got distracted. site’s at halloweenhouse.org – not recommended for those who mind graphic pics.
February 13th, 2007 at 5:23 am
wow! those are awesome! anyone who would find those pics too graphic or offensive is reading the wrong webcomic, haha. i edited your post to make the link clickable.
what an amazing amount of work and creativity goes into those halloween decorations. i’m floored. he even builds fencing and it seems like the display really changes every year. unbelievable. the pillars of pain were one of my favorites and the quicktime movie of the devil on a rocking chair was actually pretty spooky.
send mike a virtual hug and a big thumbs up for doing that each year. i’m going back to look at the rest of the pictures. his comments are really cute also.
thanks for sharing these Heinrich.
